Things Fall Apart, known as the laying-foundation work of the modern African novels, has attracted a great deal of attention since it came out.It shows the life of Igbo society and its social upheaval during the pre-colonial times, following the line of Okonkwo's experience.Using the appropriation and re-writing of the linguistic strategy,Achebe could protest and subvert imperialist discourse, manifest his own national power, and re-construct his own cultural identity.
