Study on Handicraft Industry in northwest of Shanxi Province in the Early New China

本文利用地方档案考察新中国初期晋西北手工业发展概况。研究认为该区手工业继续存在并得到发展。从手工业生产结构看,消费资料类手工业所占比重较大,而生产资料类手工业比重较小。为解决手工业进一步发展的问题,党和政府明确了对手工业实行合作化的政策,以此改造手工生产的落后性,进而发展现代工业,实现工业化。在走向合作化的过程中,手工业者的心态几经翻转变化。对地方基层手工业动态的研究揭示出手工业合作化历史的复杂面相。

The case study of northwest of Shanxi province illustrates the general situation of handicraft industry at the border of Jin-Shan-Meng.Handicraft industry in northwest of Shanxi province had continued to exist and get development in the early New China.Handicraft industry of consumer goods shared a larger proportion,while handicraft industry of producer goods shared a lower proportion.To solve the problem of further development of handicraft industry,the Communist Party and government had made the clear goal of cooporation to reform handicraft industry and develop modern industry in the early New China.The mentality of handicraftsman had several changes in the process of cooperation,which showed the complex aspect of the history of cooperation.
