A FU on the Divine Crow unearthed from the Western Han tombs in Donghai county,Lianyungang city,Jiangsu province in 1993 is the most important discovery of the literary archaeology of the FU genre in the 20th century.Having a great diversity of theme,A FU on the Divine Crow contains rich images and thoughts. The discovery of A FU on the Divine Crow proves beyond any doubt that the popular fu existed in the first century BC,moving up the appearance time of popular fu by hundreds to a thousand years.A FU on the Divine Crow reflects the inherent Chinese tradition of celebrating women's sacrifice,or men's unspoken wishful thinking. Its truly extraordinary significance lies in the fact that the female role's visuality exceeds that of men,and it endows women with strong autonomy and initiative.
