The true nature of the university is open to the spiritual world of“I-you”.Karl Jaspers’view of university educational communication emphasizes the spiritual communication between teachers and students in the encounter,which takes Socratic dialogue as the main path and seeks the truth together as the ultimate goal.This kind of spiritual communication is not only the essence of the communication of university education,but also a process of coexistence,intergrowth and cocultivation of“I-you”.It helps to awaken the soul of education and find the way to return to the spiritual world of“I-you”.To examine the current university from Karl Jaspers’view of university educational communication,it is found that the spiritual world of teachers and students is poor,the educational communication has been distorted,and the university is changing from a never-ending place of spiritual pursuits to a field of losing spiritual communication,and facing a serious spiritual crisis.To some extent,the root cause of the crisis of university spirit lies in the loss of the essence of university educational communication.Therefore,we should constantly pursue the spiritual communication of“I-you”,and make teachers and students return to the spiritual world of“I-you”,so as to reproduce the true state of communication of university education.
