晚明政治生态与士大夫仕宦生涯--以万衣为例

Late Ming Political Environment and the Career of Scholar Official:Focused on the Experiences of Wan Yi

迄今有关明代士大夫的研究,集中于一些最著名的士大夫身上,而人数众多的一般士大夫参与国家治理的行为与实践,及其所处政治生态环境与仕宦生涯,往往不在研究视线之内。本文着意于视线下移,对明代江西九江士大夫万衣的仕宦生涯进行考察。万衣为官20年,官至河南左布政使,足迹遍历滇闽楚豫,心系百姓,抵御倭寇,廉洁奉公,政绩显著。本文聚焦当时的人际关系网络和政治生态环境,追寻万衣的官场事迹,探索其罢官真相,为有关嘉隆之际政治生态和晚明官场的复杂性的研究提出新的细节情况。

Scholarly studies about the Ming scholar officials have been focused on limited number of well-known personalities,while the majority of the common officials have drawn little attention of study.This paper pays attention to the official career of one of the less famous official from Jiujiang(九江)of Jiangxi Province,namely,Wan Yi(万衣).This person’s official career lasted for twenty years.His highest position was the Zuo Buzhengshi(左布政使,left administrative head of a Province)of Henan.As an honest and hand clean person caring about the common people,Wan Yi worked in many provinces such as Yunnan,Fujian,Hubei,Henan,and made significant contributions by fighting against the Japanese pirates as well as others.By looking into the experiences of Wan Yi in the late Ming political atmosphere,this paper means to provide more details for the understanding of the complexity of the late Ming political sphere.
