The repeated questions of Huoqiu dialect in Anhui Province are mainly in the form of"KeVP"and"Ke-NP",and can be in essence a special form of"Ke-VP"question omitting the verb"is"in essence.By tracing back the historical source of"Ke-VP"questions and analyzing how the word"Ke"evolves from an auxiliary verb to an adverb,and from the affirmative to the doubt,it is of great significance to study the repeated questions in Chinese dialects.
