论薛时雨的八股文创作主张

Xue Shiyu′s Thought on Writing Eight-part Essays

薛时雨根据清代八股文衡文标准及授文、选文经验提出“遵‘清真雅正之旨’”“其法度必宗乎古,其体裁必合乎今”“洁净”与“藻采”三个创作主张。在学习八股文方面,他主张“不专诵章句”“知山水之乐”“观感有资”与“磨砻砥砺”,而其最终目的则是为了光大儒者之业。研究薛时雨的八股文主张,对进一步研究清代八股文的风貌及薛时雨的文学观、教育观都具有新的意义。

According to the standard of judging eight-part essays in Qing Dynasty,and experience in teaching and selecting eight-part essays,Xue Shiyu put forward three creative principles,namely,"abide by the principle of′natural′and′elegant′","the rules of writing should follow the law of ancient prose,but not stick to the ancient","clean"and"adorned".In the aspect of learning eight-part essay,he advocated"not just reciting Confucian classics","knowing the joy of mountains and rivers","seeing and feeling dependence"and"encouraging each other",and his ultimate goal was to promote the cause of Confucianism.The study of his eight-part essay thought is of significance to the research on the style and features of eight-part essays in Qing Dynasty and Xue Shiyu′s literary and educational views.
