The“special post program”is of great significance to revitalize rural education and promote the balanced development of urban and rural education. In the past 15 years since the“special post program”began to be implemented, remarkable achievements have been made, but there are still some unstable teachers in the process of implementation. As a former special-post teacher,Xiaojing has experienced the mental process of passively approaching the“post”of the special-post teacher, experiencing it truly, leaving with hesitation, caring for it after leaving the post and having no regrets at the special post. The reasons for her resignation lie in the hardship of the rural living environment, the poor school running conditions of rural schools, the low salary and welfare, the lack of the sense of professional belonging and the pursuit of professional development. As a female special-post teacher, she also faces the real-life problems, such as love and marriage, bearing children and even children’s future education. This case,to a certain extent, reflects the phenomenon that some teachers take the“post”as a career springboard in the implementation of the“special post program”.In order to revitalize rural education,it is necessary to improve the school running conditions of rural schools, raise the salary of rural teachers, pay attention to the basic living needs of female special-post teachers, stimulate teachers’achievement motivation, and promote teachers’lifelong learning and development.
