摘要
以《发展汉语初级综合》(Ⅰ、Ⅱ)生词部分中的文化负载词为研究对象,对教材中文化负载词汇的英译文本进行了定量研究,总结出该教材所使用的六种英译策略,并探讨其英译中所存在的问题,同时提出“关注文化负载词语的色彩义”“避免义项的罗列过多”等整改对策,期待本研究可以提高对外汉语教材中文化负载词的英译质量。
Taking as the research object the culture-loaded words or expressions appearing as new ones in Developing Chinese Elementary Comprehensive Course(Ⅰ、Ⅱ),this paper conducts a quantitative study on the C-E translation of these words or expressions and summarizes six translating strategies adopted in the textbook.It goes further to discuss the problems with C-E translation.To tackle them,some countermeasures are suggested including“focus on the color meanings of culture-loaded words or expressions”and“avoidance of excessive listing of meanings”in an effort to uplift the quality of translating culture-loade d words or expressions in textbooks of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
