On Cultural Elements of the Open University

中国开放教育已历时42年,形成了独具特色的开放大学文化。在“十四五”规划以及2035远景目标已经开启的时代背景下,开放大学要实现向上突破,教学上要突破本、专科层次向上发展,教学手段要以信息科技革命为契机实现更新换代;学术科研要抓住5G等信息技术创新机遇实现弯道超车,在新学科新领域占据制高点;名家名师担当文化引领,要为他们的成长厚植文化土壤;校友群体承载文化基因,传播文化精神,要不断强化校友对母校的“共同体”意识,培养母校自豪感,增强校友凝聚力。

The open education in China has undergone 42 years,forming a unique open university culture.Under the background of the“14th Five-Year Plan”and the long-term goal of 2035,the Open University should make breakthrough in the undergraduate and higher vocational education,and take the information technology revolution as an opportunity to improve teaching methods.In academic research,the innovation opportunities of information technology such as 5G should be seized to realize overtaking on curve,and occupy commanding heights in new disciplines and new fields;famous teachers should be cultural leaders and cultural soil should be prepared for their growth.As the alumni carry cultural genes and spread cultural spirit,it is necessary to constantly strengthen their“community”awareness of their alma mater,cultivate their alma mater’s pride which will enhance cohesion between them.
