摘要
情绪调节是个体有目的地评估、改变、控制情绪的过程。本研究通过自编的大学生英语学习情绪调节策略量表,对全国范围内不同类型、不同层次大学的8259名非英语专业大学生进行了调查。研究发现,除了消极情绪调节的表达宣泄维度,大学生英语学习中消极和积极情绪调节策略得分均值都在3以上;在性别差异上,男生在积极情绪调节策略方面的得分均显著高于女生,而在消极情绪调节策略上的得分差异并不显著;在专业类别上,文学、理工、农医学类的大学生在英语学习情绪调节能力上具有较高水平,且文学类大学生在表达宣泄策略上得分显著高于其他专业。本研究增进了我们对我国大学生英语学习情绪调节策略使用的了解。
Emotion regulation is a process in which individuals evaluate,change and control their emotions purposefully.A questionnaire on college students’English learning emotion regulation strategy use is first developed and then administered to 8259 Chinese college students to investigate their use of different emotion regulation strategies under negative and positive emotions respectively during English learning.The results show that all the factors earn a score above 3 on average except factor 3(venting)in negative emotion regulation.Regarding gender differences,males score higher than females in positive emotion regulation while no significant difference is shown in negative emotion regulation.In terms of different majors,students majoring in literature,science,engineering,agriculture and medicine score higher on average than other majors,and the score of literature students in venting strategy is significantly higher than that of other majors.This study improves our understanding of the use of emotion regulation strategies in Chinese college students’English learning.
