The Space Narrative and Ecological Implication of Doris Lessing’s Novel:The Text Study Based on African Stories

With the coming of spatial turn,space narrative,as a new narrative mode,not only can enrich the literary creation techniques,and promote the development of text narration,but also can help to broaden the interpretive space of literary texts.As one of the most remarkable contemporary female writers,Doris Lessing has created her story African Stories by using space image,which also presents the writer’s spatial thinking through the application of spatial metaphor and finally contributes to the endless interpretation space of the literary text.Lessing has confirmed every aspect in African Stories perfectly from the land writing of vast natural space to the belonging consciousness of individual home space,then to the psychological space of one’s ego.Therefore,it is meaningful to demonstrate the writer’s spatial thinking and the deep philosophical thinking of ecology between human and nature,and among different races from her literary texts.
