On the Common Words in Hainan Folk Land Title During the Period of the 1640s to the 1950s

1640年代至1950年代初,海南产生较多的“民写官验”的红契(官契)和民间相互认可的白契(民契),它们最初的形式为民间书写,故从这一角度而言,皆可称为民间地契。就三百年间海南民间地契整体的词语特点而言,俗字的大量使用是其显征,这些俗字有着与彼时中国其他地方手本文献俗字的共通之处,同时又有着浓郁的地域色彩。在考察清初至解放初百份海南历史地契的基础上,就海南地契中的俗字加以总结,具体从简体字、异体字及异形词、其他俗字三个层面入手。

From the beginning of Qing dynasty to the beginning of the PRC,there were many pieces of title deeds for land,some bearing the officially seal.Because all the title deeds originated from the folk,so these title deeds are also called the private land contracts.There are many Chinese characters in popular form in the private land contracts.On the basis of studying 100 pieces of title deeds for land,a conclusion should be drawn from the following aspects:simplified character of Chinese;Variant Chinese character as well as variant Chinese word that refers to a Chinese word which has different forms;other kinds of Chinese common words.
