摘要
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO).In a relatively short period, the SCO has become one of the most influential multilateral structures in Eurasia. The formation of the SCO was influenced by fundamental changes in international relations at the end of the twentieth century.Among them were the end of the Cold War and the transformation of the global balance of power, the emergence of a new geopolitical situation in Eurasia and the formation of new regional centers of power, the changing attitude of the world community toward traditional threats, the intensification of terrorism, extremism, and separatist movements, and the processes of globalization and regionalism.
