Muping District: Fully Advancing the High-quality Development of Cultural Tourism

牟平区位于胶东半岛东部,因处牟山之阳平川地而得名。素有"南山北海"之称。南依"胶东屋脊"昆嵛山,山间名胜古迹、自然景观星罗棋布。山下有"龙泉温泉",素有"华夏第一汤"的美称。近年,牟平加大A级景区创建力度,两年时间完成5个3A级创建任务,数量占据全市首位;加大旅游精品工程创建,河里庄获批全国乡村旅游重点村、龙泉镇获批山东省精品文旅小镇和山东省特色小镇,邹家庄村、河里庄村获批山东省首批景区化村庄,进一步提升了旅游景区档次和美誉度。

Situated in the east of Jiaodong Peninsula, Muping District derived its name from its location in the level land to the south of Mu Mountain. It has been known as having mountains in the south and the sea in the north. In the south, it lies against Kunyu Mountain, the Ridge of Jiaodong, where places of interest and natural wonders are dotted. At the foot of the mountain is Longquan Hot Spring, known as the "First Spring in China."
