The New Progress of U.S.Indo-Pacific Strategy and Its Challenges to China

2020年,突如其来的新冠肺炎疫情重创了世界经济,干扰了各国正常的交往,给国际社会带来深远影响。虽然疫情阻碍了美国“印太战略”按原定计划推进,但是美国仍不遗余力地实施对华经济“脱钩”和科技打压,使中美关系走到危险的边缘。拜登上台后,美国对中国的遏制和打压没有停止,但也开启了合作的可能。中国面临的国际环境仍具有很大的不确定性。中国需集中精力做好自己的事情,维持中美关系相对稳定,维护中国周边战略环境的稳定。

In 2020,the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic severely hit the world economy and disrupted normal exchanges between countries,having a profound impact on the international community.Although the epidemic prevented the U.S.“Indo-Pacific”strategy from advancing as planned,the U.S.still spared no effort in implementing economic“decoupling”and imposing technological restriction on China,pushing China-U.S.relations to a dangerous situation.After U.S.new president Biden takes office,the U.S.has not stop its containment against China,however,it has also opened up some possibilities of China-U.S.cooperation.The international environment facing China will still be of great uncertainties.China should focus on its own development,properly manage the differences between China and the U.S.and maintain the relative stability of China-U.S.relations as well as the stability of China’s surrounding strategic environment.
