The Modernity Turn of the Legendary Narrative of Chinese Films since the New Period

传奇是中国古代文学多种文体的整体叙事范式,这种叙事范式在中国电影中也得到了承续。在中国早期电影中,传奇叙事呈现出明显的旧式伦理道德审美的特征。新时期以来,随着社会历史语境的迭变,这种前现代性叙事范式在审美和表意上也呈现出明显的现代性转换。结合思想史和文化史的语境,考察中国当代电影的传奇叙事在重视历史书写的中国叙事诗学中的流变历程,并从这种流变中探寻某种现代性症候。

Legend is a holistic narrative paradigm of various genres in ancient Chinese literature,which is also inherited in Chinese films.In the early Chinese films,old-style ethics and aesthetics were the distinct characteristics of legendary narratives.However,since the new period of reform and opening-up,the pre modernity narrative paradigm has acquired obvious modernity characteristics in terms of aesthetic and ideographic expressions with changing historical contexts.It is essential to combine the contexts of ideological history and cultural history to examine how the legendary narrative of Chinese contemporary films has evolved along with Chinese narrative poetics which has always attached importance to historical writing,and to explore some modernity symptoms from this evolution.
