Timing chain tensioner is the key component of the engine timing system.In this paper,the failure of the timing chain tensioner of a 4-cylinder engine in the process of the bench endurance test is systematically analyzed and the solution is put forward.Through the test verification the failure of the timing chain tensioner is effectively solved.
