On Ji Kang'Philosophy

嵇康思想的最大特征就是儒道兼蓄。他从小深受儒家学说的熏陶,其处世方式、诗文创作无不流露出深厚的儒家素养;然身处魏晋易代之时,时局动荡,老庄哲学遂成为嵇康安身立命、避险去祸的行为依据,其诗文字里行间流露出对道家的向往。

Ji Kang's philosophy features a combination of Confucianism and Taoism,since he was imbued with Confucianism from his boyhood,his ways of life and literary works unavoidably show a strong Confucian trait;then,living in the time of Wei replaced by Jin,the current situation was volatile,so Taoist philosophy became Ji Kang's behavior basis of settlement and a way of escaping misfortune,which makes his poetry a yearning for Taoist in every word and line.
