Bruther affairs so machine doctrine as a design concept,architecture as a medium of change.Its machine thought is divided into three aspects:climate machine,functional machine and structural machine.Taking low-carbon housing as an example,this paper analyzes Bruther’s machine doctrine from three aspects of form generation,space operation,structure and material,aiming to have certain enlightenment significance for contemporary architectural creation.
