Research on the Construction of Braille Digital Platform in China

语言文字是国之重器、民之必需,盲文作为视障者使用的读写语言体系,是国家语言文字的重要组成部分。中国盲文数字平台是面向全国1700万视障者,集学习、生活和娱乐为一体的综合性公共服务平台,为视障者提供盲文机器翻译及盲文数字资源服务,具有开放、合法、共享、免费的特点。中国盲文数字平台利用人工智能技术解决了盲文分词连写、多音字辨识等技术难题,利用深度学习算法,提高了盲文机器翻译的准确率;平台实现了数理化公式与中国盲文的机器翻译方法,还利用大数据和云计算技术实现了海量盲文资源的存储、管理及分享。

Language is extreme important for both a country and the people.Braille,as a reading and writing language system of the visually impaired,is an important part of the national language.The braille digital platform of China is a comprehensive public service platform for the learning,living and entertainment of 17 million visually impaired people in China,which provides braille machine translation and braille digital resource services for the visually impaired with the characteristics of being open,legal,sharing and free.China’s Braille digital platform uses artificial intelligence technology to solve technical problems such as braille word segmentation,linking and polyphonic characters,and uses deep learning algorithms to improve the accuracy of braille machine translation;the platform realizes the machine translation of mathematical,physical and chemical formulas and Chinese Braille.The platform also uses big data and cloud computing technology to realize the storage,management and sharing of massive Braille resources.
