从亚洲皮革工业的发展现状、制革工艺的研究、新材料新方法在制革中的应用、皮革基础理论研究和环保、清洁化及综合利用研究等方面 ,对第五届亚洲皮革科学技术国际会议学术论文进行了总结和评述 ;综合会议论文所涉及的研究领域 ,结合我国皮革工业的发展现状 ,对我国制革工业的研究方向进行了展望。

From the points of the Asian developing actuality of leather industry, the studies on leather making technics, novel materials and methods used in leather making, basical theories on leather making and the environmental protection, cleaning technics and compositive utilizings, the articles from the 5th Asian International Conference of Leather Science & Technology are summarized and commented.
