Based on the records on how the Rescripts and Imperial Mandates of the Hall for Cultivating Virtues(Yude Tang)was handed down and related historical materials collected,the paper narrates the anecdotes about the hand-down,reproduction and publishing of the Rescripts and Imperial Mandates of the Hall for Cultivating Virtues and the Proposals of the Hall for Cultivating Virtues to the Emperor of Song dynasty,and reflects the enormous efforts paid by generations of scholars such as Chen Naiqian and Zheng Zhuodun to preserve the national culture and their good intentions.
