章太炎“群独”思想及其当代启示

Zhang Taiyan’s Thought of“Group Individual”and Its Contemporary Enlightenment

与同时代的思想家不同,章太炎的“群独”思想蕴含着对现代性的反思与超越。在群独理论的建构中,他以互释的方式阐释“群”与“独”的概念,辩证地指出“大独必群,群必以独成”。在此,他解构了传统群独对立的二元模式,建构了群独融通合一的大独观与大群观。章太炎以“个人主义”为价值原则,但在“不齐而齐”的本体原则与“各是其是”的秩序理想的阐释下,价值原则最终导向了群体,体现出其“群独”思想中个体与群体同向性的理论旨归。在全球化视域下,在共生原则的支配下,章太炎的“群独”理论可为当今时代思考个体与共同体的关系提供有价值的思想资源。

Different from other thinkers of the same era, Zhang Taiyan’s thought of "group Individual" contains a reflection and transcendence of modernity. In the construction of the theory of group Individual, he explained the concepts of "group" and "Individual" by means of mutual interpretation, and dialectically pointed out that "truly independent individuals naturally gather into groups, and a group must be made up of truly independent individuals ". Here, he deconstructs the traditional dualistic model of group independence opposition, and constructs the view of truly independent individual and the view of real group. Zhang Taiyan takes "individualism" as the principle of value, but based on the interpretation of the ontological principle of "not being homogeneous" and the order ideal of "each being its own", the principle of value finally leads to the group, which reflects the theoretical purview of the homogeneity between individual and group in his thought of "group Individual". In the view of globalization, under the control of the principle of symbiosis, Zhang Taiyan’s theory of "group individual" can provide valuable ideological resources for thinking about the relationship between individual and community in today’s era.
