摘要
《晚清政治小说:一种世界性文学类型的迁移》立足于"世界视角",重新审视了"政治小说"这一文类的世界性迁移,对"政治小说"的内涵与边界、价值与意义进行了重新定义。该书对政治的"性别"维度解析富有特色,特别是传统"才子佳人"模式在政治小说中的消解,证明"现代性"与"性别"问题紧密相关。作者发掘出一种政治小说研究的新范式,并为更广义的跨文化研究开出了新的方向;但在具体研究中,尚须先厘清这一模式的有效性和有限性,以便更好地思考如何从"世界视角"走向"中国问题"。
The Chinese Political Novel: Migration of a World Genre adopts a"world perspective"to re-examine "political novel"as a type of literature. For instance,changes in moving this type of literature across the world have brought forth redefinition of its contents,boundaries,values,and importance. This book has specifically highlighted polities’ gender dimension,especially the disappearance of traditional"brilliant man and beautiful woman"mode in political novel,evidencing that"modernity"and"gender"are intimately related.The book has started a new style in the study of political fictions,opening a new direction for transcultural research on literature. In a specific study,however,it is important to clarify the effectiveness and efficacy of this style of study in order to transition from"world perspective"to"China issues".
