摘要
本文就后疫情时代对科学教育的反思和英国科学与环境教育专家贾斯汀·狄龙教授进行了对话。狄龙教授曾任欧洲科学教育研究协会主席,现任英国国家环境教育协会主席。狄龙教授针对疫情中的社会现象和隔离措施中的科学教育实践,提出了目前国际科学教育体系中的7个问题与挑战,包含学校课程设置、教育研究与资助体系、产业与社会参与等多方面。对此,狄龙教授提出科学课程应朝着科学、环境与健康的融合方向发展。针对目前学校科学教育的不足,狄龙教授从多个角度揭示"科学、环境与健康"(S|E|H)教学理念的意义:"科学、环境与健康"作为一种教学理念,以帮助学生理解并感受科学的真正意义为目标,聚焦科学知识的学习,提倡基于真实问题情境的教学,培养学生使用跨领域知识解决复杂问题的能力,提供融合同理心、价值判断等非认知因素融入科学教育中的机会。结合英国的实践经验,狄龙教授建议在校内应将S|E|H融入学校管理、教育与建设的方方面面,科学设计评价方式;同时,加强校外科学教育,采用科学与艺术相融合的创新方式,全面提升学生的科学、环境与健康素养。最后,狄龙教授从国际科学教育学术期刊主编的角度为我国科学教育研究发展提出建议。
This paper is an interview with Professor Justin Dillon,former president of the European Science Education Research Association and the present president of the National Association for Environmental Education in UK.Professor Dillon claims that science education is facing seven challenges in the post-pandemic era,regarding the school science curriculum,educational research and funding system,and the participations of industry.In response to the challenges,Professor Dillon advocates Science|Environment|Health(SEH)Pedagogy.SEH focuses on scientific knowledge within the authentic context,offering the access to understand the nature of science.It aims to enhance students’problem-solving skills with cross-disciplined knowledge.It also attempts to integrate non-cognitive contents,such as the social values and empathy,into school science education.Professor Dillon advices to integrate SEH into school management,environment constructions and all the subjects teaching in schools.He also suggests to practice SEH in out-school science education,offering students with authentic experience of science and access to scientists in real life.Professor Dillon also introduces the innovative practice of STEAM education in UK,and suggests the integration of formal and informal education across the science and art subjects.As an editor in chief of Science Education,Professor Dillon encourages more empirical researches of Chinese science education to be published internationally.
