Since the advent of Cao Yu’s plays,they have been adapted into a variety of genres and played on both Chinese and foreign stages.This has become a rare sight in the history of Chinese play.From the perspective of the adaptation style,from movies to TV series,from classical Chinese operas to operas and dances,from traditional Chinese to western styles,from stages to silver screens,it has covered almost all art categories,prompting Cao Yu’s plays to be widely spread.In the process of dissemination,the charm of classics can be moved to folk,and folk art can be developed.
