摘要
联想意义是由特定民族文化所铸造的一种附加在词汇字面意义之上的隐含义,是各自民族文化的意象。文章立足于联想意义与意象,以红色、黑色、白色等汉英色彩词的联想意义为例,对汉英色彩词的联想对应、重合、冲突与空缺进行探讨。研究表明,文化对比教学有助于培养学生全面的文化认知、多元的文化价值取向、自主的文化反思能力和跨文化交际能力,从而减少他们在未来跨文化交流中的语用失误。
Associative meaning is an implicit meaning cast by a specific national culture and attached to the literal meaning of vocabulary.It is the image of their own national culture.Based on the associative meaning and image,taking the associative meaning of Chinese and English color words such as red,black and white as an example,this paper discusses the associative correspondence,coincidence,conflict and vacancy of Chinese and English color words.The research shows that cultural comparison teaching helps to cultivate students'comprehensive cultural cognition,diversified cultural value orientation,independent cultural reflection ability and cross-cultural communication ability,so as to reduce their pragmatic failure in cross-cultural communication in the future.
