It is observed that ancient western buildings are all brick and stone structures, while ancient Chinese buildings are mainly wooden structures. Only a small number of building buildings are brick and stone structures, while mausoleums are the main body of brick and stone structures. This leads to the reason why ancient Chinese built tombs for the dead with more solid and easier to preserve brick and stone structures, rather than houses for the living, which were built with wooden structures. Therefore, the following part makes an in-depth study of this problem and analyzes its causes through various angles and proper comparison with western architecture. In addition, a brief introduction to the ancient Chinese wooden structures and the ancient Chinese mausoleums.
