Chinese culture is extensive and profound, and has a long history. Chinese characters, as a witness of the development of Chinese culture with a long history, have many rich connotations. Among them, "he", as a quintessence of Chinese character culture, contains the wisdom of the Chinese nation for thousands of years to govern the country and make a home. Under the background of traditional Chinese culture, the understanding of "He" is not only limited to its literal meaning, but also shows its deep meaning as a symbol of culture. This paper will interpret the character "He" from three aspects: philosophy, social background and international environment, so as to have a deeper understanding of Chinese character culture.
