Causes and countermeasures of the new suspended river in the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River

黄河宁蒙段位于我国西北地区,两岸人口相对密集,泥沙淤积导致防洪防凌问题突出。为保障两岸地区安全稳定发展,围绕习近平总书记在黄河流域生态保护和高质量发展座谈会的讲话精神,总结分析了黄河宁蒙河段的淤积特点与新悬河成因,提出了“增水、减沙,调水调沙”的治理思路与具体治理措施。

The Ningxia-Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River is located in the northwest region of China,with a relatively dense population on both sides of the river.The problem of flood control and ice prevention is prominent because of sediment deposition.In order to ensure the safe and stable development of the areas along the river,with a focus on implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speech at the symposium on ecological conservation and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin,the siltation characteristics of the Ningxia-Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River is summarized,the causes of the new suspended river in the section are analyzed,and corresponding control measures of"increasing water,reducing sediment,and adjusting water and sediment"are proposed.
