摘要
采用社会文化适应和涵化策略等问卷对在加拿大的中国内地留学生进行问卷调查,考察其涵化策略对社会文化适应的影响,并检验社会支持在其中的调节作用。研究发现,留学生使用整合策略(β=0.325,P<0.05)和来自家庭的社会支持(β=0.011,P<0.05)会显著预测更高的社会文化适应结果,社会支持在人际关系中的潜在调节作用能够影响涵化策略与社会文化适应的关系。来自当地朋友的社会支持能够增加整合策略对社会文化适应的正面影响效应(β=0.44,P<0.001),能够减少边缘化策略对社会文化适应的负面影响效应(β=-0.97,P=0.008)。因此,高校应致力于帮助留学生与当地学生建立友谊,以提高他们在海外留学期间的文化适应能力。
176 foreign students in China's Mainland in Canada were investigated by sociocultural adaptation questionnaire and acculturation strategy questionnaire to investigate the impact of acculturation strategy on sociocultural adaptation,and to test the regulatory role of social support.The study found that using integration strategy(β=0.325,P<0.05)and social support from families(β=0.011,P<0.05)significantly predicted higher sociocultural adaptation results.The potential regulatory role of social support in interpersonal relationships can affect the relationship between acculturation strategies and socio-cultural adaptation.Social support from local friends can increase the positive effect of integration strategies on socio-cultural adaptation(β=0.44,P<0.001),which can reduce the negative effect of marginalization strategy on socio-cultural adaptation(β=-0.97,P=0.008)。Overseas universities should be committed to helping international students establish friendship with local students in order to improve their cultural adaptability while studying abroad.
