In order to improve the inspection accuracy and efficiency and avoid disputes caused by the inspection re⁃sults,TB/T 2456.20-2006 Special measurement tools for locomotives and vehicles-Part 20:Brake shoe gauge for roll⁃ing stock,is revised to form TB/T 3558-2020 Measuring tools of the bogie for rolling stock-Gauges of brake shoe and brake pad.This paper introduces the revision background,basis and principles,explains the main revision contents,and analyzes the key technologies and the application scope of measuring tools,so that the inspectors can correctly se⁃lect measuring tools and master the operation methods,so as to improve the inspection accuracy and efficiency and ef⁃fectively control the manufacturing quality of rolling stock brake shoes and brake pads.
