小红城古城建制沿革与金代兴国寺

Evolution of Xiaohongcheng Ancient City and Jin Dynasty Xingguo Temple

位于今呼和浩特和林格尔县的小红城古城是金代在辽曷董馆基础上建立的云川县。古城城垣始建于金代,元代沿用,明初在小红城以西设立云川卫,并对小红城修补沿用。小红城废弃于明正统十四年(1449年)。据《和林格尔县志草》记载,小红城原有金代兴国寺,并有一佛塔,佛塔地宫石函于民国时被发现。兴国寺的存在证明了小红城城垣始建于金代。

The ancient city of Xiaohongcheng,located in Heringer County of Hohhot,is Yunchuan County built in the Jin Dynasty on the basis of Hedongguan of the Liao Dynasty.The city wall was built in the Jin Dynasty and still used in the Yuan Dynasty.In the early Ming Dynasty,Yunchuanwei was established to the west of the city and used for repairing it.Xiaohongcheng was abandoned in the fourteenth year of Zhengtong Period(1449).According to the records of The first Draft of Helinger County Annals,Xiaohongcheng once had Xingguo Temple of Jin Dynasty with a stupa which was discovered in the Republic of China.The existence of Xingguo Temple proves that the city wall of Xiaohongcheng was built in the Jin Dynasty.
