Grade Inflation in UK Higher Education:Current Situation,Problems and Countermeasures

大学学位等级评定制度是英国高等教育治理框架的重要组成部分,是衡量高等教育质量和学位获得者学业成绩水平的标准。近年来,随着英国高等教育治理环境的变化,英国荣誉学士学位制度出现了较为严重的"等级通胀"问题,引发英国社会的高度关注。英国政府部门通过加大对高校教学评价标准执行的监管力度等措施,联合高等教育机构采取行动治理学位等级通胀问题。对英国大学荣誉学士学位等级通胀问题及其治理措施的研究,有助于把握英国高等教育治理的改革动向,对完善我国学位制度和大学学业考评制度具有一定借鉴意义。

The university degree classification system is an important part of the governance framework of British higher education and an objective standard to measure the quality of higher education and the academic performance of degree recipients.In recent years,with the changes in the governance environment of higher education,there has been a serious"grade inflation"problem with the honours degree system,which has aroused great concern of the whole society in the UK.The UK government has taken action with higher education institutions to tackle degree grade inflation by stepping up supervision of the implementation of teaching evaluation standards.This study is helpful to grasp the reform trend of higher education governance in the UK,and has certain reference significance to improve the degree system and university academic evaluation system in China.
