The Portrayals of Political Leaders in Chinese Contemporary Films

新时期以来,我国电影市场涌现出了一大批革命历史题材影片,先后把毛泽东、周恩来等领袖的光辉形象生动、鲜活、真实地搬上了银幕。回望这段历程,相关的表演创作历经了从追求形似、提倡起用"特型演员",到跨越固有艺术形象的框范、注重由形似向神似转变,再到彻底打破"特型演员"创作模式、讲究透过生活化的细节来凸显领袖的人性光辉与人格魅力之蜕变。演员们通过创作还原了真相,活化了历史,不同程度地展现了领袖的魅力与情怀。

Since 1978, a large number of films on revolutionary history have emerged in China, in which the glorious images of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other Chinese political leaders were represented vividly and convincingly. The development of performance creation in these films could be divided into three periods: in the beginning, the Special Actors were encouraged to be employed to reach the similarity of visual appearance;then, the fixed rules were challenged, and the similarity in spirit was valued more highly;finally, the performance mode of Special Actor was broken completely, and the daily details were carefully shown to highlight the political leaders’ human brilliance and charming personality. By their creation, the actors reveals the historical truth, bring the past alive, and show the political leaders’ charm and ambition to varying degrees.
