INVESTIGATION OF THE ELECTROREDUCTION OF CARBON DIOXIDE(Ⅰ)——ELECTROCATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF COBALT PORPHYRIN COORDINATION COMPOUND

用电化学方法研究了一种新的水溶性的金属卟啉配合物——碘化四-(对三-甲基胺苯基)-卟啉钴C_(56)H_(60)N_(8)I_(4)·_(6)H_(2)O(CoTAPP·I)在CO_(2)电还原中的催化活性。

The catalytic activity of a new soluble metal porphyrin coordination compound,tetrakis-(p-trimethylammoniophenyl)porphyrin iodide C_(56)H_(60)N_(8)I_(4)·_(6)H_(2)O(CoTAPPI)in the reduction of carbon dioxide has been investigated by electrochemical method.Experiments revealed that CO_(2) could be electroreduced in the presence of CoTAPPI.The cathodic voltammogram had a current peak around-1.5V(vs.SCE).The main product of the reduction was CO.
