The painted double-pot is a unique and elegant drinking vessel excavated from the Dahecun site in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. It fully expresses the three elements of form, hue and texture in the design process of the body shape and surface pattern, and has an artistic style that unifies functionality and simplicity. The painted double-pot is the marker of the cultural pattern and development trend of the late Yangshao period and has a rich cultural meaning. It was created when multiple cultures converged in the Central Plains hinterland, representing the union and communion of the inhabitants of the Qinwangzhai culture with their kin tribes, a reflection of inter-tribal friendship, equality and intimacy.
