Objective:To investigate application effects of five-point support function exercise in patients with osteoporotic lumbar compression fractures.Methods:78 patients with osteoporotic lumbar compression fractures were selected as the research objects, and were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,39 cases in each group. The control group was given pillowsupport treatment, while the observation group was treated with five-point support function exercise on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical effects, the vertebral compression degree and the lumbar function[obwestry disability index(ODI)]score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 97.44%,which was higher than 79.49%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The vertebral compression degree and the ODI score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the pillowsupport treatment,five-point support functional exercises in treatment of osteoporotic lumbar vertebral compression fractures can improve the total effective rate of treatment, and reduce the vertebral compression degree and the ODI score. Moreover,it is superior to single pillow-support treatment.
