Currently the indications of lumbar cerebrospinal fluid drainage( LCSF) in neurosurgery include cerebrospinal fluid leakage caused by craniocerebral trauma, subarachnoid hemorrhage( SAH), intraventricular hemorrhage, acute communicating hydrocephalus, and extraventricular hydrocephalus or subdural effusion after acute traumatic brain injury,high intracranial pressure,and intracranial infection, et al. The main complications of LCSF include secondary intracranial infection,excessive drainage,cerebrospinal fluid leakage at the puncture site,and blocked drainage tubes,et al.
