Since the 21st century,international student mobility has become a worldwide trend in the tide of globalization.Almost all countries have adopted policy measures to attract and send international students.As a result,international students have reached an unprecedented scale in recent years.But at the same time,international student education still faces many challenges:different countries are engaged in a fierce competition for global higher education market share,there is still a risk of brain drain for developing countries,rapidly increasing number of international students has led to a shortage of resources in host countries,growth of international students could soon be slowing down in the context of anti-globalization,the COVID-19 pandemic have brought many uncertainties to the flow of international students.In the future,global educational development of international students will present the following major trends:international students flow tends to be diversified and complicated,the education of international students will shift from the pursuit of quantity expansion to focus on quality and efficiency,developing countries will strive to make a transition from"brain drain"to"brain circulation",and the pattern of international education is becoming increasingly complex and changeable.
