A Semantic Comparative Study On“Guoran”and“■”

本文对比分析现代汉语"果然"和与之相应的韩国语汉字词"■"。研究发现,二者都表示"事实与所说或所料相符",但还有很多不同之处。可以说,二者在各自的语言系统中有着不同的发展路径。前者的语义逐渐缩小,而后者的语义基本保持不变并有所发展,导致前者语义单一、后者语义丰富,形成严重不平衡的格局。然而,韩国语"■"丰富的语义并非凭空而来,大部分可以在汉语发展史上找到其根源。

The paper will make a comparative analysis on Chinese word"guoran"and its corresponding Korean word"■".One similarity between these two words has been found both of them mean"the facts are consistent with what was said or expected".However,many differences between them are also been found.It can be said that they have different development paths in their respective language systems.The meanings of Chinese word"guoran"gradually shrink,while the meanings of Korean word"■"basically remain stable and even developing.That’s resulting in the single meaning of the former word and the rich meanings of the latter one.Thus,a serious unbalanced pattern between them has been formed.However,the rich meanings of Korean word"■"do not come from nothing but most of their roots can be found in the development of Chinese.
