Study on ALA’s Reading Recommendations for Children and Young Adults

美国图书馆协会下设的美国儿童图书馆服务协会和美国青少年图书馆服务协会在青少年儿童的阅读推荐领域有长期的经验,其特点是阅读推荐程序公开公正、尊重青少年儿童的身心发展规律、关注家长和成人在阅读指导中的作用、兼顾读者标准与专家判断,以及重视阅读推荐活动的推广,对我国青少年儿童阅读推荐具有启示意义。

Association for Library Service to Children(ALSC)and Young Adult Library Services Association(YALSA)of the American Library Association(ALA)are engaged in reading recommendations for children and young adults in the U.S.respectively.The characteristics of the reading recommendations are transparent and fair procedures,adhering to the physical and mental development of children and young adults,assisting parents and other adults in reading instruction,highlighting the children and young adults’perspectives and profession’s expertise,and promoting reading recommendation by follow-up activities.It is of great significance to the reading recommendation initiatives for children and young adults in China.
