生态翻译学视角下中国古代寓言标题英译研究——以《中国古代寓言选》中《列子》部分为例

On English Translation of Ancient Chinese Fable Titles from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology: Taking Fables from Liezi in Ancient Chinese Fables as an Example

生态翻译学将生态学和翻译学结合起来,提出了"三维转换",即语言维的转换、文化维的转换及交际维的转换,从三个维度综合对翻译进行分析研究。文章以两个版本《中国古代寓言选》中《列子》部分的寓言标题为例,从生态翻译学的"三维转换"角度,分析中国古代寓言故事标题英译,提出在进行寓言标题翻译时,应从语言、文化、交际三个角度进行适当转换与调整,才能达到传播寓言内涵及所蕴含文化的意图。

Eco-Translatology combines the ecology with translatology and covers "three-dimension conversion", namely language, culture and communication, comprehensively analyzing the translation from these three dimensions. The paper analyzes the Chinese-English translation of ancient Chinese fable titles from this perspective, taking the part of Lie Zi in two versions of Ancient Chinese Fables as an example, and draws a conclusion that when translating the fable titles, the translator should make proper conversion and adjustment from three dimensions of language, culture and communication, to convey the culture in the fables and achieve the purpose of communication.
