Interpreting the Origins of Gender Inequality:Conceptual and Historical Problems

本文以大尺度、大数据来复兴恩格斯"女性地位的变化与阶级和国家的崛起相联系"的理论,时间跨距从原始公社到殖民时代,重点是当代世界的民族,空间囊括五大洲(南北美洲、澳洲、大洋洲、非洲)十几个民族,围绕女性地位的主轴,纵横交错,有理有据,给人信息冲击与观点震撼。全文用大理论(如历史唯物论、唯物辩证法)架构小理论(如生产方式、专业分工、异化劳动、殖民前后、妇女角色区分等),讲究概念的准确性与灵活性,做到以方法论驾驭方法,提出不能用资本主义以前的生产方式来考察民族(虽然马恩提到这个观点,但是当时还未出现帝国主义),也不能立足于现代生产方式,而要用殖民主义时代的生产方式来考察。这个观点令人耳目一新。并且带着爱憎分明的感情,兜出百多位人士的观点来点评,既显战斗姿态,而又波澜不惊,体现了学者的诚实与稳健,不仅增强了叙述力度,而且令人百读不厌。

This paper revives Engels’theory that"the change of women’s status is related to the rise of class and country"with large-scale and big data.Time spans from primitive commune to colonial era,with emphasis on ethnic groups in the contemporary world.The spatial span covers more than ten ethnic groups on five continents(North and South America,Australia,Oceania and Africa).Focusing on the main axis of women’s status,it is criss-crossed,well-founded,and gives people information shock and viewpoint shock.The full text constructs small theories(such as mode of production,professional division of labor,alienated labor,before and after colonization,women’s role differentiation,etc.)with big theories(such as historical materialism and materialist dialectics),pays attention to the accuracy and flexibility of concepts,controls the method by methodology,and puts forward that the nation cannot be examined by the previous capitalist mode of production(although Marx and Engels mentioned this viewpoint,imperialism did not appear at that time),nor can it be based on the modern mode of production,but on the production in the colonial era.This view is refreshing,and taking the feelings of love and hate clearly,taking out the opinions of more than 100 people to comment,which not only shows the fighting attitude,but also shows the honesty and stability of scholars,which not only enhances the narrative power.
