As Willa Cather’s masterpiece,O,Pioneers!is the prelude of her pioneer literature, which condenses the history of the frontier in the American Midwest. From the perspective of literary geography, this paper makes comments on the geographical narration of the novel. The natural landscape is not just an objective presence, but an important role in promoting the development of the plot, expressing the theme of the work, showing the emotional structure of the work and reflecting the writer's artistic conception. The grasslands and rivers of Nebraska,Cather’s hometown, serve as the setting for the novel,in which the pioneers lead ordinary but great lives.
