Gao Junyu was one of the pioneer leaders of Communist Party of China. As his revolutionary soulmate, Shi Pingmei was also a famous female writer in the 1920 s. The graveyard where they were buried together in Joyous Pavilion in Beijing, was a Red Education Base. The only existing fifteen letters written by Gao to Shi are still incompleted in content with even fewer letters from Shi to Gao and relevant diaries written by Shi being missing. Based on the existing archives, contemporaries’ memoirs, and some documentary works by Shi Pingmei and Lu Yin, this article outlines their emotional journey more completely, especially highlighting the revolutionary influence of Gao Junyu on Shi Pingmei.
