Objective To explore the effect of self-made hepatitis No.1 Formula on liver function indexes in patients with early alcoholic cirrhosis and the improvement of clinical symptoms. Methods A total of 100 patients with early alcoholic liver cirrhosis were treated with compound glycyrrhizin tablets(25 mg,two tablets/time,three times/day).Among them,50 cases were treated with self-made hepatitis No.1 Formula(observation group),one dose a day in the morning and evening, and the other 50 cases were taken as the control group. After three months of continuous treatment, the TCM symptom score, the deepest ascites,24-hour urine volume, body mass and liver function indexes(albumin, glutamic pyruvic transaminase, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase)were compared and analyzed between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in TCM symptom score,24-hour urine volume, liver function index, the deepest ascites and body mass between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the above-mentioned indexes were significantly improved in both groups, and the observation group were better than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions In the treatment of early alcoholic liver cirrhosis, combined with self-made hepatitis No.1 Formula can significantly improve the liver function and clinical symptoms.
