浙江安吉县古城遗址2017年发掘简报

Brief Report on the 2017 Excavation of the Gucheng Site in Anji County,Zhejiang

安吉古城遗址位于浙江省西北部的丘陵山地,地处湖州市安吉县递铺街道古城村,东南距安吉县城约12公里(图一)。遗址南依龙山,西邻白石山,北、东两面为地势较缓的河谷地带。古城遗址平面略呈方形,城内东西长约600、南北宽约550米,城区面积约33万平方米。城墙为平地堆土筑成,保存较好,墙基宽23米左右,残高3~6米。

Excavation of the Gucheng site in Anji County jointly conducted by the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Research Center for Chinese Frontier Archaeology, Jilin University in 2017 uncovered an area of 955 square meters and discovered various features ranging from midden ditches, midden pits, water wells, rammed earth architectural foundations and post-abandonment rubble deposits, to a large number of artifacts made of pottery, stone, and bronze, etc. Remains can be divided into three periods, from the Eastern Zhou to the Han dynasties through the Six Dynasties. This excavation provides not only new material for study of the nature of the Gucheng site, but also significant data for exploration of social lives of people who once lived in the Jiangnan region.
