The Theory of the Communist Party of China’s Press Developed during the Revolutionary Struggle is the Compass to Guide journalism: Commemorating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China

本文通过对中国共产党新闻事业发展的历史回顾,阐述了党始终把办好报纸和宣传党的方针政策作为革命事业组成部分的工作方法,和在长期艰苦卓绝的革命斗争实践中,形成了党报的优良传统、积累了丰富办报经验的光辉历史。到了延安时期,经过《解放日报》的整风改版,系统、完整、科学、具有中国特色的党报学说最终形成,成为指导我国新闻事业的指南针。本文研究的时间段界定在五四运动时期至延安时期。

Through a historical review of the development of the Communist Party of China’s journalism, this paper explains the Party’s approach to running a good newspaper and propagating the Party’s guidelines and policies as part of the revolutionary cause. In the long and arduous practice of the revolutionary struggle, the Party formed the fine tradition of the Party newspaper and accumulated rich experience in running newspapers. During the Yan’an period, after the rectification and reform of the Liberation Daily, a systematic, complete and scientific doctrine of the party newspaper with Chinese characteristics was finally formed, which became the compass guiding China’s journalistic career. The time period studied in this article is defined as the period from the May Fourth Movement to the Yan’an period.
